We’re keeping things simple by having only 2 plans: Free and Premium. We’ve done away with multiple levels because we want to share the benefits of Sweatcoin and walking more with as many people as possible.
The free plan helps the most number of users to get healthy.
We realised that Mover inadvertently creates a disincentive for people to walk more than 5,000 steps because they could earn only up to 5 sweatcoins daily. We know changing habits is hard and progress is not a straight line. For sedentary users aiming to build a more active lifestyle, it’s not clear when it’s a good time to “upgrade” their plan to a Shaker, Quaker, etc.
Studies show that a minimum of 7,500 steps daily is enough to lower mortality rates and provide other health benefits. For those whose main physical activity is walking or running, they may aim for 10,000 steps a day. We want everyone to aspire to these goals without obstacles from our app experience.
As such, the new free plan enables people to earn up to 10 sweatcoins daily from walking (as well as running and cycling).
The Premium plan allows you to earn unlimited sweatcoins.
If you’d love to earn more sweatcoins and lead an active lifestyle, the Premium plan is for you. It doubles your sweatcoins from steps like the Troublemaker, but unlike the Troublemaker, does not limit your earn. (The Troublemaker plan limited users to earning 25 sweatcoins daily.)
To make the most of your sweatcoins, we’ve also created a special marketplace for Premium users so they can access exclusive rewards like gift cards and more.
